Kevin Calder (CPP) – President
Kevin's knowledgeable and practical approach to the business is founded on 20 years of comprehensive experience in security and training. Kevin is a 14-year veteran of British Columbia Sheriff Services where he was appointed to the position of Senior Intelligence Coordinator and was instrumental in launching the British Columbia Sheriff Services Integrated Threat Assessment Unit. From this pivotal point in his career, Kevin proceeded to play a key role in initiating other programs throughout the province including:
- The British Columbia Sheriff Services Provincial Protective Intelligence program
- The Justice Institute of British Columbia's Threat Management Center of Excellence
Kevin has recently developed and delivered practical threat and risk management training to a variety of public and private organizations at both a local and international level. He is actively involved with organizations such as the National External Advisory Working Group (rail and urban transit security training and awareness), and the Canadian Court Security Association, where he provides expertise from a security and training perspective.
A number of prestigious organizations have also recognized Kevin's expertise in the specialized area of threat management. He has been a featured speaker for Association of Canadian Court Administrators, RCMP National Security, National Sheriffs' Association, American Bar Association and B.C. Crown Counsel, among others.
In addition to his work experience, Kevin has participated in a variety of professional development training programs conducted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, FBI, Secret Service, ASIS, ATAP and LSI Scan.
Providing a unique combination of hands-on security expertise and performance-based curriculum development, Kevin brings breadth of experience to his consulting services and training programs.
